  Discovery Conference Registration now open!

  The Discovery Conference is a wonderful opportunity for middle school FFA members. It is a great way to get 
young members excited about the FFA & introduce students to the opportunities that FFA has to offer. 
The 2016 Discovery Conference will have two date options, Blue Session: January 21-22, 2016 and Gold 
Session: January 22-23, 2016, at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center near Covington.  Check the Conferences & Convention link on the Georgia FFA website for more information.  Registration due Deceember 15th!

  Smith-Hughes Act 100th Anniversary Logo Design Contest

  In preparation for the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Smith-Hughes Act, the National Council for Agricultural Education is announcing a logo design contest. This contest is open to students currently enrolled in K-12 and post-secondary agricultural education and related programs (e.g. agricultural communications, agricultural leadership) with cash prizes provided for the top three designs ($500, $300, & $200). All submissions are due by December 1st. Click here for full contest rules and guidelines.  

  Scholarship Application is Live, $2.2 Million Available

  National FFA 2016 Scholarship application is now live! Encourage all students to apply; there is a member and non-member application. Students fill out one application to engage in multiple opportunities. The advisor approval process will begin Monday, November 23. Visit for more details and the application.

  Sara Hughes  
  The IMPACT of an agriculture teacher goes on forever! Mrs. Sara Hughes is now making a position difference for students at Oglethorpe County Middle School, but several years ago she started the program at Athens Christian with a charter member named Abbey Gretsch. As an agriculture teacher, you never know what a tremendous impact you can potential have on students. Thanks Mrs. Hughes, for making a positive impact.
